Rooftop HOTSpot: Lobby Bar and Bistro at Twelve Hotel

Okay, I know a lot of our readers are college kids, or recent graduates, and we're still into the "Knuck If You Buck" type of venues. But I promise that if you step out of the box on a Friday night, and attend LOBBY Bar and Bistro's "Urban Hang Suite" at the Twelve Hotel in Atlantic Station, you won't be disappointed!

Women Behind the Music Kickoff in Atlanta

On Tuesday, @Style_Shari and I had the pleasure of attending ASCAP's 2nd Annual Women Behind the Music event.  The Atlanta kickoff featured a panel moderated by V-103's Rashan Ali, with honorees Kelly Rowland, Entertainment Attorney: Sandra Brown, and General Manger of Grand Hustle: Hannah Kang.  Did y'all know Hannah Kang was managing the Shark Bar at the age of 19?? Crzy! At 19, I was selling jeans at the Gap. She won!

Bun B::Goodie Mob::Big Boi @Heineken Inspire Atlanta

The Heineken Inspire Tour stopped in Atlanta this Saturday. Free Heineken, performances by Bun B, Goodie Mob, and Big Boi, all made for a kick-ass day concert at Opera Nightclub. Lil Will and Blackowned Cbone also came through. Lil Will was a definite blast from the past! Cutty Cartel stopped by for his feature on "Shutterbug".

Atlanta's TAKERS premiere... and the VIP after"party"

The movie premiere for Takers happened two days ago... the "best" of the best(side-eye) came out to support the film at the red carpet premiere in Atlantic Station. Some of the cast unfortunately was not present...but I was definitely please to know that the amazingly-handsome Paul Walker had stopped by my city! And of course my other favorites... TI and Michael Ealy... I attended the VIP after"party" for the premiere that was held in a beautiful building. Yes, complimentary hors d'oeuvres was served and champagne/wine was flowing...but that was about it. I will say I appreciated to see TI(+Tiny of course...) and Michael Ealy there, but I heard that Paul Walker had to unfortunately leave after the red-carpet premiere.

A few other notable people came to attend, but I was overall disappointed in the vibe. At one point of time, people knew how to enjoy themselves at parties, regardless of their "status", but now it's all about just saying you went I guess...I mean, for one, I kinda feel like the exclusivity may be a problem anyways when it comes to events like these, but then again I've actually attended other "exclusive" events that were extremely fun. Well who knows... overall I will give the vip after"party" a one thumbs up.

TAKERS IS NOW OUT IN THEATERS...

Straight Premium Gas...Nate Walka's Listening Party

So about 10 days ago, I got the pleasure to assist with & attend Nate Walka's listening party... I can definitely say I appreciate the hard work that music gurus put in to perfect their craft. On that day, I stepped into the shoes of a real music maestro. Getting up in the morning at 7am to go perform on Good Day Atlanta.. then going to radio shows.. and THEN performing at your listening party all the way down til 11pm?!?... def. feels like your life is always on the go! But that experience made me develop a deeper understanding to the choice of a fast-pace lifestyle. Some individuals feed off of that "hustle and bustle" vibe. The more work they get, the more energy they will have to complete that "next step" to their goal... So as long as you're passionate about what you love to do, then that will forever be the only "premium gas" you'll need!...even though..every now and then you may need an oil change at the shop to get you up and back going again!

if you haven't already listen to Grammy-winning producer/singer/song-writer Nate Walka...please check out his new personal music! It's extremely eclectic! And I think Sasha would def. approve!
